Delta launches the MEP-500A, a high-performance 500 W model, as an addition to its open frame medical power supply MEP Series. The MEP-500A is specifically designed for medical applications with limited space, such as IVD equipment, operating beds, endoscopes, ultrasound machines, and ventilators.
The model provides an outstanding power density of up to 25.64 W/in³ and 95% efficiency in a compact 3” x 5” footprint, optimizing performance and reducing installation space. Crafted for flexibility and reliability, the MEP-500A offers output voltage options of 12 V, 18 V, 24 V, and 48 V, reliably operating within -30°C to +85°C operating temperature. Its 5 V / 2 A standby power capability advances efficiency and lowers operational costs.
Demonstrating high operational quality, it delivers 500 W with fan cooling and 300 W with natural convection cooling. To support enhanced control and monitoring, the power supply also features remote sensing to compensate for voltage drops in wiring, as well as remote on/off capabilities for user-friendly system management and diagnostics.
The MEP-500A is equipped with 2 x MOPP isolation, fulfilling the strict requirements for type BF medical equipment to ensure protection for both patients and operators. It is certified to IEC/EN/UL safety standards for medical, IT, and household use. Additionally, it complies with the EN 55032 Class B standard, minimizing electromagnetic interference and thus guaranteeing a reliable operation for sensitive medical devices.
